Dear friends and families,

It is with great joy that I share some wonderful news: my visa for Ecuador has been approved and, very soon, I will be moving there.

As I mentioned in my March letter, the missionary aviation organization Alas de Socorro (MAF Ecuador) has invited me to join their team. I will be part of the group responsible for implementing aircraft maintenance software, a program that will allow a much more efficient and safe control of this process, bringing direct benefits to the mission’s operations and to those who depend on this ministry.

Alas de Socorro (MAF Ecuador) has been serving remote communities in the country for many years, especially in Amazon and hard-to-reach regions, transporting missionaries, patients, and essential supplies. Mission aviation is vital in a land of mountains and jungles, where airplanes are often the only way to reach people. The mission’s headquarters are located in Shell.

In addition, I will also have the opportunity to support aircraft maintenance directly at times—an incredible chance for my professional and ministerial growth in missionary aviation, gaining hands-on experience that will be valuable for life. I am very happy; after more than nine months of preparation and work on this project, by God’s grace, the time to take this step has finally come.

First of all, I want to thank God for this opportunity He has given me, as well as the MAF and Alas de Socorro teams for all their support, and also each one of you who have been faithfully accompanying me in prayer. I am deeply grateful for your lives.

My heart feels heavy when I think about leaving Brazil—my home, my friends, and my family. This year marks 11 years since I first came here—half of my life! This country welcomed me with such warmth that it truly became my second home. These past six years have been crucial in my life: I graduated from college, took my first steps in missionary aviation, built precious friendships with people from all over Brazil and the world, and grew both as a person and as a servant of the Lord.

I know, however, that the Lord has called me to serve Him, and in missionary life, goodbyes are part of the journey. As a missionary kid (MK), I have been through many of them—some harder than others. But this time is different: for the first time, I will be serving in the field “on my own,” without my family’s company, in a new and unfamiliar country. Even so, I go in peace, knowing the Lord has been caring for me and will continue to guide my steps wherever I go.

If you would like to continue walking with me in this new season, through prayer or by supporting me in other ways, it would be a great joy to share more details with you. Please feel free to reach out—I would love to connect with you!

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
