A little about me

My name is Victor Caleb Urbina Gonzalez. I was born in Venezuela into a blessed family. I am 21 years old, having lived eleven years in Venezuela and ten years in Brazil. From a young age, I was deeply exposed to the Gospel, which sparked in me a profound interest in the stories of that sinless Man who performed so many wonderful works for humanity. Over time, my desire to accept Jesus as my one and only Savior grew stronger. I came to understand my condition as a sinner, and at a young age, I accepted Him as my one and sufficient Savior.

My story

In early 2012, my family moved to Brazil for the first time so that my father could begin his training as an aircraft mechanic. Seeing the inspiration, dedication, and commitment my father has to the maintenance of mission aircraft, a strong interest was sparked in me. Today, I am passionate about working with aircraft maintenance, piloting, and everything related to mission aviation. I want to be part of the true stories of faith that will endure for all eternity.

As soon as we arrived in Brazil, in early 2012, we were warmly welcomed by the Nova Jerusalém Baptist Church. At 13 years old, I had the joy of being baptized by Pastor Edmar Silva, a significant and very special moment in my life. On that same day, I was officially received as a member of the Nova Jerusalém Baptist Church, which I am still a member of to this day.

After living in Brazil for five years, my family and I had to return to Venezuela in 2017. During those three challenging years, we prayed daily, seeking God's direction. Among our prayers was the desire to return to Brazil, and miraculously, God answered. When we arrived in Brazil in 2020, I had the opportunity to start attending classes at a university called UniEvangelica, where I studied Mechanical Engineering. That same year, I was invited by Asas de Socorro to be an intern and work as the Responsible for the Maintenance Registration Sector (SRM). During this period, I also had the opportunity to work as an aircraft mechanic assistant. This experience ignited in me a strong sense of responsibility in mission aviation and the desire to continue growing. It is a joy to have been part of a team that works for the Kingdom, like Asas de Socorro.

While working as an aircraft mechanic assistant, I had the opportunity to fulfill a great dream I had carried since childhood: to work alongside my greatest reference in mission aviation, my father. With him, I learned a lot and continue to learn every day. I am immensely grateful to God for granting me this unique opportunity in my life.

Currently, I am a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Nova Jerusalém Baptist Church. I am in the process of undergoing online studies to specialize in Aircraft Maintenance., with the goal of becoming an aircraft mechanic with MAF. In the future, I also plan to pursue a Pilot course, expanding my skills in mission aviation.
